About him
Originating from the South Derbyshire/Staffordshire border to which I frequently return, school years spent in Somerset and have lived in West London since my early 20's. I am the age I say I am (ie not saying I'm 49 or 59) so I'm not trying to sneak under age radars!
Solid and steady with undercurrents of passion & sensitivity. My humour is on the tragic comic English very dry side with lashings of irony and healthy cynicism.
I see myself as cultured, but not pretentiously so (preferring an AC/DC or Stones concert to going to the opera if I'm honest). Cinema and theatre? Yes, but not to see a lot of rubbish. I do enjoy a good thriller. Dating site protocol dictates that one must “LOVE travel". Well I go skiing once a year and I enjoy weekends away in UK. Other trips abroad as and when.
Drinking - A half at the pub, a small glass of red with my dinner... I am partial to an occasional single malt whisky; with a piece of 100% dark chocolate. Yum.
I try to eat healthily, organic where possible, but I won't make a virtuous thing about it, boring the pants of everybody and being an awkward dinner guest. For body type I've put down "Average" in the absence of "Solid" from the drop down list.
English Public School educated but didn't get round to going to Uni. Voted Remain but dislike the cosmopolitan snobbery of many Remainers.
All my shots and vaccinations are up to date. A boy at school had polio as a small child. He said it wasn't funny.
I have a very inquiring mind and conversations about history, geography and sociology stimulate me. I also enjoy talking complete rubbish ideally accompanied by good food and wine.
